The Last Kingdom season 4: Stuntwork, fake blood and Uhtred’s daughter

With less than two weeks to go until The Last Kingdom returns to Netflix for its fourth season, the cast continues to tease us with a slew of behind-the-scenes images of all our favorite characters. Let’s take a look at the heavy drama to come.

Okay, that’s Finan (Mark Rowley), Sihtric (Arnas Fedaravicius) and newcomer Stefanie Martini (Eadith) debuting their new impromptu band. NOW the drama beings.

James Northcote (Aldhelm) shows off a portrait of Eliza Butterworth as the steely Aelswith:

Northcote is a bit of a shutterbug on set. He also took photos of Ruby Hartley, who plays Uhtred’s daughter Stiorra:

But Northcote does occasionally get in front of the camera. Here he is stretching with new comrade Finan:

Make sure you stretch your calves. Can’t skip leg day.

In a throwback post, Fedaravicius shares a look at his budding friendship with Rowley back during season 2. Welcome to “fashion week in Wessex”:

Here, Rowley pauses to reflect on his life, and the choices that led to him not wearing sleeves:

Of course, it’s not all fun and games, as Adrian Bouchet (Steapa) demonstrates some stunt work:

Cavan Clerkin, who plays the warrior priest Father Prylig, shared image of himself getting used to riding horses. He hasn’t quite gotten the hang of it yet:

Finally, Magnus Bruun revealed a look at the work that goes into transforming him into the deadly Cnut.

The Last Kingdom season 4 comes out on April 26. We’re almost there, arselings!
