Welcome to a special, two-part episode of Take the Black Live, your one-stop shop for all things sci-fi, fantasy and slowly going stir crazy in quarantine!

The Take the Black Podcast is on iTunes and Google Play! Please subscribe and download from there if you can. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also now on Spreaker, so try us there, as well.

FYI: the new episode is in two parts, but not because we planned it that way. We just had technical difficulties not that far in, which is the kind of thing that’s probably bound to happen when we’re trying to coordinate all of this from home. In any case, roll the tape!

We hit a lot of topics this week, from the new wave of coronavirus-mandated movie and event cancellations to the impending debuts of both HBO Max and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. We also go pretty deep on both the newest episode of Westworld, “Decoherence,” as well the finale of FX’s twisty sci-fi drama Devs. The two shows actually have a lot in common, at least in terms of the themes they engage with. Does one come out on top?

We’ll be back next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. with another episode of Take the Black Live! Join us on the WinterIsComing Facebook page.

Next. Take the Black Live: The Last Kingdom, Dune and beyond. dark
