Doctor Who: The Chimes of Midnight listening party on Friday May 1

This Friday, at 7pm UK time, Doctor Who fans can enjoy a livestream of the classic Eighth Doctor story The Chimes of Midnight!

Whether you’re a long-term fan of Big Finish, or you’ve yet to check out their audios, you’re going to want to know about this. Following the recent success of several Doctor Who watchalongs – including Tenth Doctor story Human Nature – Big Finish have decided to join in with a story of their own: The Chimes of Midnight.

To say that The Chimes of Midnight is a popular audio story is an understatement. It’s a story greatly loved by fans, one that you’ll regularly see people listing in their top five, if not their favorite ever story from Big Finish. It’s easy to see why: it’s got horror, comedy, an inventive use of time travel, some deep emotions and of course, plum pudding!

This is why the story was a natural choice for Big Finish to select for their first-ever listening party. On Friday May 1, at 7pm UK time, a free livestream of The Chimes of Midnight will begin on SoundCloud. So if you don’t have the story on CD, download or vinyl, you can check it out for yourself for free right here.

The Chimes of Midnight is not just one of the Eighth Doctor’s best stories – it might be one of the best Doctor Who stories in any medium.

Not just for the opportunity to discuss it with many other fans of the story, but also, to know that others will be listening to the story for the first time. For those curious about Big Finish, but don’t know where to start, this is a great jumping-on point.
