As we round the final week in May, it’s beginning to feel like we’ve been in quarantine forever. And although some coronavirus restrictions are starting lift all over the globe, there’s still a lot we can all can do to help flatten the curve. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) is raising awareness of the healthcare workers on the front lines, reading a beautifully touching poem for International Nurses Day earlier this month:

The poem is called “These are the Hands” by author Michael Rosen, who wrote it in 2008 for the 60th anniversary of the United Kingdom’s National Health Service.

In other Game of Thrones cast member news, Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) is gracing the cover of Wonderland magazine’s 2020 summer issue, a full-body floral number, no less:

Maisie isn’t the only one looking fabulous and getting paid for it. Below, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) pitches us on Synsam, a Swedish company that makes sunglasses from…other sunglasses that have been recycled:

Way to reduce your carbon footprint, Tormund!

Oh hey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) has a movie coming out stateside on June 12. Watch the trailer for Exit Plan:

“Insurance detective Max is investigating Arthur’s disappearance,” reads the official synopsis. “The assignment takes him on a long, mysterious journey into the clandestine Aurora Hotel. While in the midst of an existential crisis, Max questions his perception of reality.”

Trippy.

Finally, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane) is getting into shape for a boxing match with his rival from the world of professional strongmen, Eddie Hall.

Apparently, Hall thinks Thor and his friends are bullies, while Thor thinks Hall is a lightweight. The only way to solve the problem is boxing. We have a proper feud on our hands, ladies and gentlemen.

And if you thought this is too much drama for two grown men, just you wait! Citing a video of Hall competing at the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017, Björnsson has accused both Hall and referee Colin Bryce of cheating, saying he has no intention to compete in that event ever again. “I’m absolutely done,” he said. “I would never in my life compete for Giants Live again, never. And I probably would never compete at World’s Strongest Man again ever and I’m probably retired.”

The drama continues. Is this all really going to culminate in a boxing match between two 400-pound men? We’d be lying if we said we weren’t interested.

Next. A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin just bought a railroad. dark
