Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi

Boba Fett (played by Jeremy Bulloch)

The second season The Mandalorian, the first-ever live-action Star Wars show, is coming this October. We’re excited to see the further adventures of Mando and Baby Yoda, but the second season will also include a fair share of Star Wars legacy characters, including one who audiences saw die nearly 40 years ago up on the big screen: interstellar bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Yep, Boba Fett will appear in The Mandalorian season 2. The word is that he’ll be played by Temuera Morrison, who played Boba Fett’s “father” Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones. In fact, fans think we already saw Boba Fett in the episode “The Gunslinger” from season 1. At the end of that episode, a shadowy figure who seems to be wearing Fett’s trademark clinking spurs approaches the body of Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen):

Boba, is that you?

Now, you may be wondering how Boba could return when we all watched him fall into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi? We thought we’d give a little crash course on all things Fett, and explain why the idea isn’t as preposterous as it may sound.
