Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish headline Scottish travel series
By Ariba Bhuvad
The other day, Outlander star Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) teased fans that a big announcement was coming their way via Good Morning America, he did not let us down. While it wasn’t about the show itself, it was equally exciting.
Both Heughan and Graham McTavish, who plays father and son Dougal and William MacKenzie, took to social media to break the news about their upcoming docuseries on Starz: Men in Kilts. Originally meant to be a podcast titled Clan Lands, the decision was made to make it into a full TV series!
Of course, Starz is already home to Outlander, so it made sense that they’d be the one to give the series a home:
Men in Kilts will feature Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish traveling around Scotland as they immerse themselves in the culture and history of their ancestral homeland. The two have shared a strong friendship over the years so I couldn’t imagine a better duo to paint the town red together.
Despite Scotland being their home, it’s clear from the promo that they learn so much about the country over the course of the show. I mean, is there a better way to learn about a place than by taking a road trip through the heart of it?
The best part? Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish visit Culloden during their adventures, paying respect to the brutal and bloody battle that they both portrayed on Outlander. It will certainly be an emotional ride, folks!
There is no premiere date as of yet, but rest assured, when it does premiere, I will be glued to my television screen along with the rest of my Outlander family across the world.
