Westworld Premier League: If the Game of Thrones houses had football uniforms
By Dan Selcke
What if the Great Houses of Westeros settled their differences not on the battlefield but on the football pitch? One designer has the answer:
On Game of Thrones, we watched for eight seasons as the Great Houses of Westeros warred with other in a bloody conflict to claim the throne. Stark vs Bolton, Tyrell vs Lannister, Baratheon vs other Baratheon…everyone was at each other’s throats, and it usually ended in blood.
But it didn’t have to be that way. What if instead of fighting each other with sword and bow the Great Houses hashed out their differences on the football pitch (aka the soccer field, depending on which side of the pond you’re on).
Redditor KillerXSwitch has designed a closetful of football uniforms for many of the Great Houses from Game of Thrones, getting us closer to that kinder, gentler Westeros. A lot of them are pretty inspired. Take a look below! (Hit the arrows on the side of the pictures to go back and forth.)

KillerXSwitch is careful to incorporate the house colors into the designs, of course, all of which are pleasing to the eye. But what really kills me are the sponsors displayed proudly across the front of the jerseys. The Ironborn are sponsored by Ironborn Cruises, the Starks by Wolfswood Lumber, the Tyrells by Arbor Gold, the Arryns by Arryn Airways, and so on. Really clever stuff!
And of course the Targaryens are sponsored by Fly Dragons, a parody of how Fly Emirates seems to be plastered on every other jersey in real life:
Goal!
