Zack Snyder unveils more footage from the Snyder Cut of Justice League, including Superman wearing an outfit that should be very familiar to comic fans.

Comic-Con@Home may be getting the lion’s share of the headlines this weekend, but Justice Con — an event set up by fans to talk about the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League — is holding its own.

The latest news to come out of there is a brand new clip from the Snyder Cut itself, a long-prophesied version of the 2017 movie that preserves director Zack Snyder’s original vision. In this new clip, we see Superman (Henry Cavill) surprise Alfred (Jeremy Irons), who looks like he’s busy repairing one of Batman’s classic cars or something, wearing some new duds:

They totally stole that water-rippling-in-the-cup thing from Jurassic Park, if anyone’s keeping score.

Anyway, the black Superman suit got famous the hero wore it in the comics after he was killed by Doomsday, back in the early ’90s. On the big screen, Justice League takes place after Doomsday kills Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so it makes sense for him to put on the outfit here.

Slowly, we’re seeing more of the Snyder Cut ahead of its debut on HBO Max next year. Another clip shows off Darkseid, one of the biggest and baddest of the DC villains:

Your move, Comic-Con.

The Snyder Cut will run nearly four hours, be “separate” from DCEU continuity. dark. Next
