Watch the fantastic first scene from The Umbrella Academy season 2!

If this scene is any indication, the second season of Netflix’s superhero drama The Umbrella Academy is gonna blow the first right off the map.

The Umbrella Academy is just a couple of days away from premiering its second season, and I think it’s safe to say we are all STOKED! I can’t wait to see where this epic series picks up, especially after that apocalyptic, intense season 1 finale.

There’s a lot at stake for the Hargreeves family, and the first few minutes of The Umbrella Academy season 2 premiere puts just about all of it on the table. Check it out below, and then let’s discuss!

Did you watch it? Did you love it as much as I did? I sure hope so!

As you can see, the clip kicks off with Five (Aidan Gallagher) finding himself in Dallas in the 1960s…in the middle of an all-out war. Based on what we see, in whatever reality this is, the Soviet Union and the United States are have come to blows. The Cold War is red hot. Something has gone very wrong in the timeline, and we can bet all our marbles that it has something to do with Vanya’s (Ellen Page) apocalyptic outburst in the season 1 finale.

The clip goes onto show the rest of the Hargreeves gang all ready to fight, and all of them with upgraded powers! Klaus summons dead soldiers with ease, Allison can kill with a word, Vanya is bringing the heat, and so on. But just as Five goes to join them, he’s held back by Hazel (Cameron Britton). “If you want to live, come with me.”

Cue nukes, smoke, and The Umbrella Academy title.

Uh, what?! That was awesome!

The Hargreeves family is dysfunctional as all get out, but in this clip it looks like they’ve learned to work together a little better. Thankfully, we only have to wait two more days to find out how they get to this point. If the opening scene is any indication, season 2 is going to be AMAZING!
