Game of Thrones alum Lena Headey (Cersei) directs Maisie Williams (Arya) in new music video

Game of Thrones veterans Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) reunite in a most unexpected way.

Unfortunately, we never really got to see Arya Stark and Cersei Lannister go head to head on Game of Thrones. I won’t say that this is the closest we’ll ever get to seeing that happen but it’s a start.

French musician Madeon has released a music video for his song “Miracle” from the album Good Faith. The kicker is that the video is directed by Lena Headey (Cersei) and stars Maisie Williams (Arya) and James Joyce. And it is trippy. Watch below:

“A big theme for me was my relationship to my mood, my health, mental health and questioning for a while the validity of enthusiasm and joy, trying to understand where it came from and its legitimacy to some extent,” Madeon told Paper Magazine about the album. “The main thing I wanted to capture for sure was the smell of a summer day or the saturation of the sky. My experience of joy was the main driving thing. I reached for instruments that evoked joy for me. I wanted my ‘joy’ album.”

Did you guys get all of that?

I think the video is pretty cool. I think it’s about a couple where the girl dies at the end? Whatever, the images are evocative, and seeing Maisie Williams covered in blood makes me kind of nostalgia. I know that’s a weird thing to say but if you watched her as Arya Stark on Game of Thrones you know what I’m talking about.

If Madeon wants to do a whole concept album featuring only Game of Thrones alums in his videos, I’m down.
