Take the Black: Comic-Con a bust, Emmy surprises, and Umbrella Academy review

On this week’s Take the Black Live, we sort through the wreckage of Comic-Con@Home, make our Emmys predictions, and review The Umbrella Academy season 2!
Okay we’ve got a lot to cover on these week’s episode of Take the Black Live and just over 40 minutes to do it. The discourse begins now!
But really, there was a lot to talk about this week. First of all, we had a crush of cons dropping news left and right last weekend. The Walking Dead finale has a premiere date, The New Mutants might actually be getting released, and Lovecraft Country has a trailer. And then of course we had to talk about the Emmys. How is the field looking? Who’s a shoo-in? Who got snubbed? Who are we rooting for? If it’s not The Mandalorian for Outstanding Drama Series, then why not?
And then, I have an advance review of the second season of The Umbrella Academy! Or at least it was advance when we talked about it. Now it’s just a review. Either way, discuss.
