The first title should be the last and vice versa! Mark Hamill is all on the viral video where the Star Wars movie titles are swapped around.

A few days back, a TikToker named fake.disney.facts posted a video where he explained why every Star Wars movie title was wrong. If you haven’t watched it, watch it now:

The Phantom Menace should be called The Rise of Skywalker because it introduces us to Anakin Skywalker, and The Rise of Skywalker should be called The Phantom Menace because it features a villain thought long dead returning from the grave. I’m in.

Apparently, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) thinks so, too, at least if we take what he says on Twitter as a true expression of his innermost thoughts and feelings, which of course we do:

For the record, it does not all make sense. A New Hope is just as good a title for Episode IV as it is for Episode VII, the Empire most definitely struck back in Episode V, and so on. But I need to stop before I start taking this fun little video about renaming the Star Wars movies too seriously. I mean, I’m already a full foot over the line.

Anyway, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is currently hard at work on a new Star Wars movie. Here are some title ideas for him:

  • Episode X: Rey Buys a Zoo
  • Episode XII: Pew Pew the Lasers
  • Episode V.V: Palpatine Gets Lucky
  • Episode -III: War Stars

I’ll expect my check in the mail, Disney.
