American Gods season 3 is coming–eventually.
American Gods is the show that always has some element of drama attached to it. Usually, it’s regarding a showrunner leaving or a cast member getting involved in controversial matters, but I think maybe, just maybe the third season could complete and premiere without any hiccups.
What proof do I have for that? Well, American Gods star Bruce Langley, aka Tech Boy, posted a picture of him in what he hopes is the last of his ADR sessions. ADR stands for Automated Dialogue Replacement and is a process in which actors go back and re-rerecord some of their dialogue that may have drowned out during filming, etc.
American Gods fans have become accustomed to being in the dark in-between seasons, so Langley’s post comes as a good sign that we might be getting closer to the season 3 premiere. According to him, there is “good stuff on the way,” so I’m going to take that to heart and take his word for it.
This post along with the fact that American Gods has a panel during New York Comic-Con’s virtual event, Metaverse, leads me to believe that we could be getting a season 3 update as early as October. It’s likely a sure-fire guarantee that their NYCC presence is designed around this very announcement, but we’ll have to wait and see what October brings.
We don’t know much about American Gods’ third season but it will presumably follow Shadow’s journey of settling down in Lakeside, Wisconsin and figuring out his path and journey in the complicated world he finds himself in.
I, for one, am ecstatic to see what the third season brings as this show is known for its wild twists and turns. If there is one thing we can expect from American Gods its unpredictability and the most bizarre plots and storylines.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait too long to find out what’s in store for season 3!
