19. Hondo
Hondo is a Weequay space pirate with charisma only matched by Han Solo. He was introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and also featured in the follow-up Star Wars Rebels. His gang, the Ohnaka Gang, camped out on the world of Florrum in the Outer Rim world.
Hondo had a knack for dealing with Jedi, and routinely came into contact with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Ashoka Tano. He developed a unique bond with the Jedi and often found himself teaming up with them. Of course, since Hondo was a pirate, his loyalties were easily swayed, and he had a habit of double-crossing his allies. This’s what made Hondo such an enjoyable character: you never quite knew which way he was going to lean.
In terms of where a movie about Hondo could go, the possibilities are endless. We could have an origin story about how he put together the Ohnaka gang, for example. And because a movie about Hondo would be set during the prequel period, you could have other figures from that time show up.
A Hondo movie would be funny, fun, and could expand on an already intriguing character. Everybody wins.
And finally, we arrive at our final entrant…
