5. Darth Revan

Remember when we said that Malak betrayed his Sith Master and declared himself a new Dark Lord? It turns out that the Sith Master was none other than Revan, one of the most powerful Jedi to ever fall to the Dark Side.

Together, Darth Revan and Darth Malak with with the intent of bringing down the Old Republic and the Jedi Order, and they nearly succeeded. The turning point and beginning of the end for both of them was when the apprentice betrayed the master, which is standard practice for Sith.

Malak attempts to destroy Darth Revan and fails in spectacular fashion. This gives the Jedi Order the chance to bring Revan back to the light. They’re successful, and Revan goes on to defeat Malak once and for all and bring peace to the galaxy…at least until the next big threat came along.

So to recap, Revan was a legendary Jedi who became a feared Sith Lords who again became a Jedi Knight. There aren’t many characters who have made the full circuit like that, and none whose stories are explored in as much detail as Revan’s. It’s a story that begs for the big screen treatment.

Of course, Revan’s redemption wouldn’t have been possible if someone hadn’t had his back…
