13. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool

If there’s one mutant from the Fox era of X-Movies who deserves to transition over into the MCU just the way he is, it’s Deadpool. It’s pretty much impossible to imagine anyone doing a better job of portraying the trash-talking, fourth wall-breaking mutant than Ryan Reynolds. So if we had our way, he’d just strut his way right into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, commenting all the while about how weird it is to be showing up to work at a different X-Mansion.

But seriously, it isn’t like that couldn’t be done. Yes, Deadpool’s movies have been R-rated thus far, and it would certainly make sense to keep his solo forays targeted at adults. But hasn’t the MCU grown vast enough that that would be totally fine? Deadpool is unique among Marvel heroes in that he’s aware that he’s in a story, and it’s totally possible that he could still star in his own run of tongue-in-cheek adult superhero movies before jumping over to the MCU for crossover events and some of the bigger X-Men outings. He’d also provide some always needed comedic relief.

Really, there’s just no other way to go for Deadpool. If it ain’t broke, why fix it? We wouldn’t mind seeing Stefan Kapičić reprise his role as Colossus from Deadpool 2, either.
