For months, Ray Fisher has been trying to get accountability for “abusive” behavior he alleges happened on the set of Justice League. Now, one of his castmates comes out to support him.

There’s been yet another new turn in Justice League star Ray Fisher’s (Cyborg) attempts to get accountability for unprofessional behavior he alleges occurred on the set of the DC superhero movie, and bad behavior he alleges happened afterwards.

This back-and-forth between Fisher and the studio has been happening for a while, ever since he accused Justice League director Joss Whedon (who came on after original director Zack Snyder had to leave due to a family emergency) of “gross” and “abusive” behavior back in late July, and Warner Bros. executives Geoff Johns and Jon Berg of enabling him:

A lot has happened since: while Berg denied the accusations, Whedon and Johns have remained quiet. In the meantime, Fisher stepped up his accusations against Johns, whom Fisher claimed “made a thinly veiled threat to my career.” More recently, Fisher accused DC Films president Walter Hamada of attempting “to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus” in exchange for Fisher relenting on going after Geoff Johns, which he resolved not to do.

At Fisher’s urging, Warner Bros. opened up a third-party investigation into his complaints. Just a few days ago, the studio started to push back against his complaints, saying that he’d refused to meet with the investigator and accusing him of mischaracterizing some of the conversations he’d had with executives. However, Fisher pushed back against that, producing an email showing that he had met with the investigator, although he cut the meeting short when he realized the investigator may not have been as impartial as advertised.

It has been, to put it mildly, a journey. And now, the newest twist is that Fisher’s Justice League costar Jason Momoa has openly come out in support of Fisher, posting an image to his Instagram Stories with the message, “#IStandWithRayFisher.”

Fisher soon retweeted the image with the caption, “Accountability>Entertainment,” which appeared in his first tweet with the accusations against Joss Whedon:

Where is this going? What’s next? I have no idea. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut? Is that still relevant? I don’t know.

Anyway, Momoa’s participation is significant because no one else from the Justice League had come out in support of Fisher before now. We’ll see if a lone wolf breaking from the pack or if the floodgates have officially opened. I’m sorry for mixing metaphors but this story seems to have a new twist every other second and it’s stressful.

dark. Next. First looks at Jason Momoa (Duncan Idaho) and Josh Brolin in Dune
