The Wheel of Time fans, get an up-close look at the Winespring Inn in Emond’s Field as it’ll appear on Amazon’s upcoming TV adaptation!

To hype its upcoming adaptation of Robert Jordan’s epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time, Amazon has been hosting a read-along of the first book of series, The Eye of the World. For the past several months fans, have “tuned in” to the series’ official Twitter account for chapter-by-chapter breakdowns.

They arrived at the final chapter today. And as a special thank you, Amazon released an official look at a key season 1 location: the Winespring Inn in Emond’s Field, the sleepy country village where our story begins.

That’s gleeman Thom Merrilin providing the meta-quote from The Eye of the World, with the Winespring Inn slowly revealed in the background.

Located in the heart of Emond’s Field, the Winespring Inn is operated by the family of Egwene al’Vere (Madeleine Madden), one of several local kids who will go on a huge adventure. There’s also Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), Mat Cauthon (Barney Harris), Nynaeve al’Meara (Zoë Robins) and Perrin Aybara (Marcus Rutherford), not to mention the literally hundreds of people they meet over the course of the next 14 books.

But while this might be our first look at the Winespring Inn, it’s not our first look at Emond’s Field. Amazon gave us a tease back in February. That shot looks like it was taken from a different across the village square:

The show had to take a break from filming thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they’re back on track now. The Wheel of Time promises to be Amazon’s most anticipated project to date when it debuts sometime in 2021.
