Watch the trailer for The Mandalorian season 2!
By Dan Selcke
Baby Yoda, Jedi, X-Wings and didgeridoos all feature in the explosive trailer for the second season of The Mandalorian. Plus a release date!
Disney has officially released the trailer for the second season of The Mandalorian! Watch it below:
Okay, some quick takeaways from this soon-to-be-masterpiece:
- Baby Yoda is still so cute I could die. The bit where he encloses himself in his little floating pram so he doesn’t have to watch Mando kick a bunch of guys asses? Adorable.
- Speaking of that scene, the creatures fighting in the ring look very similar to the guards in Jabba’s palace. Back when creator Jon Favreau first announced that The Mandalorian season 2 was happening, he tweeted a picture of those guys:
- The Armorer (Emily Swallow) has a voiceover, suggesting she survived her encounter with Moff Gideon’s foot soldier’s at the end of the first season.
- The Armorer talks a bit about Mandalore the Great, an ancient Mandalorian leaders who fought a war with the Jedi.
- Speaking of the Jedi, apparently Mando’s quest to return Baby Yoda to his people will involve making contact with them, even though he thinks of the Jedi as “a race of enemy sorcerers.”
- We’ve snowscapes, rocky terrain, dingy bars, sprawling cities…the second season looks just as splendid as the first.
- “Wherever I go, he goes.” Mando and Baby Yoda, bros for life.
- Mando has a Cyclops frenemy named Gore Keresh.
- In addition to Mando, aka Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and the Armorer returning, we also get a brief look at Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers).

The Mandalorian
The first season of The Mandalorian was one of my surprise favorite shows of 2019, so I am very psyched for the return trip.
The Mandalorian season 2 premieres on October 30! This is the way.
