Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany will play She-Hulk in Disney+ series

Tatiana Maslany, who showed powerful acting chops on Orphan Black, will play She-Hulk, aka Jessica Walters, Esq., on her own Disney+ show.
Well, we finally know who will play She-Hulk in Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series, and the rumors…were…WRONG! According to Deadline, Orphan Black and Perry Mason veteran Tatiana Maslany will play the titular superhero.
Maslany is all kinds of talented and I’m sure she can pull off the role, although I’ll admit I kind of got attached to the popular fan-cast of GLOW star Allison Brie in the role. This is what happens when fan-art is too good:
Anyway, She-Hulk is the superhero name for Jennifer Walters, who gets her powers after she has to have an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner, aka He-Hulk. However, unlike Banner, when Walters hulks out, she retains her intelligence. She also keeps her job as an attorney, which should lead to all kinds of fun. I definitely want scene of She-Hulk zealously advocating on behalf of her client while in her superhero costume.
She-Hulk has been staffing up lately. I also hired It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia director Kat Coiro to helm the pilot and serve as an executive producer, while Rick & Morty veteran Jessica Gao will head up the writer’s room. Unfortunately, we have no idea when it might be out or even when it’ll start production, but the first of Disney’s many upcoming Marvel shows — WandaVision — will be out on Disney+ later this year.
