Disney finally unveils a proper trailer for WandaVision, the first (but not the last) of its Marvel series coming to Disney+!
Disney has unveiled the first trailer for WandaVision, the first of its upcoming Marvel TV series, during the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards. Watch below!
For this start, this show has looked wonderfully, delightfully weird. Why exactly are Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olson) and Paul Bettany (Vision) living in some kind of 1950s-style I Love Lucy–Leave It To Beaver TV sitcom fantasy complete with busybody neighbors and sedate dinner parties? (If you look closely, you’ll see other sitcom-inspired scenes flash by, like one that seems modeled after a 1980s-style Full House-type show.) And didn’t Vision die in Avengers: Endgame?
Clearly, there’s something a wee bit amiss about whatever Wanda and Vision are going through, but the show certainly has my curiosity. I’m also excited to see Wanda in the Scarlet Witch outfit she wears in the comics.
WandaVision is the first Marvel show to come to Disney+, but it won’t be the last. Disney also has The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, She-Hulk and more in the hopper.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date for WandaVision yet, but it looks like it’s coming out this year.
