Spooky dolls, water-logged ghosts and creepy kids are all on the menu in the complete trailer for Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor:

Mike Flanagan’s The Haunting of Hill House was an unexpected horror hit when it landed on Netflix. Now, Flanagan and company are back for a follow-up, The Haunting of Bly Manor. The story is different, the characters are new, but a lot of the actors are the same, and it’ll still send a tingle down your spine:

While the first season of this anthology show was based on Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill HouseThe Haunting of Bly Manor is based on Henry James’ The Turning of the Screw, one of literature’s most beloved ghost stories.

Or is it a ghost story? One of the hallmarks of James’ tale is that it’s unclear if the young nanny (Victoria Pedretti) hired to watch over a pair of creepy orphan children (Amelie Bea Smith and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) at a country estate is actually seeing ghosts or if it’s all in her head, but watching the trailer, I get the idea that Flanagan is going with the first take.

And of course there are spooky dolls. I hate spooky dolls.

Pedretti played Eleanor “Nell” Crain in the first season of the show, and returns here as the main character. Other alums include Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel and Henry Thomas, who plays the strange children’s uncle. He’s cool to hire someone to watch over them, but doesn’t want to visit Bly Manor himself if he can avoid it, which should probably tell you something.

The Haunting of Bly Manor comes out on October 9.
