If you’re sick of all the do-gooding superheroes out there these days, The Boys is the perfect antidote. And we’re about to get more of it.

The Boys is an Amazon show about a world where superheroes exist, but they’re corrupt assholes who use their powers for evil even as put on a happy face for the general public. It’s the perfect counter-programming for a world inundated with superheroic do-gooders from Marvel and DC, and its second season has been a smash success.

Knowing that, it’s not surprising that the show is getting a spinoff. There’s no title yet, but the new series will be set at a superhero college run by Vought International, the huge corporation that manages the superheroes and hides their dirty secrets. According to Deadline, the show will explore “the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.” Expect plenty of satire, raunch, violence, and more R-rated fun.

The Boys executive producers Seth Rogen and Eric Kripke both confirmed the news on Twitter, although one worked a little more blue than the other:

Showrunning duties will fall to The Boys executive producer Craig Rosenberg. Actually, this series — which I’m just going to call The Other Boys until Amazon gives us a title — has been in development for a while, but has been fast-tracked following the success of the mother show’s second season.

Expect The Other Boys to debut in…I’m gonna say late 2021.
