Doctor Who news: Eighth Doctor adventure The Eleven is free to download!

Right now, you can listen to the first episode of the epic Doctor Who series Doom Coalition for free – which introduces Mark Bonnar as the brilliant Time Lord villain, the Eleven!
On Monday, Big Finish revealed the latest complete audio adventure that you can listen to right now. This week’s story is one that Doctor Who fans will certainly want to check out, especially if they’re interested in finding out more about Paul McGann’s Doctor.
While he was given very little screen-time – just one TV movie and a minisode, sadly – the Eighth Doctor has had an extremely extensive life on audio. Considerably extensive, in fact. Sometimes, it’s difficult to know where to even begin.
Fortunately, there are a few good jumping on points for his Doctor, and this week’s free episode is definitely one of them. The Eleven is the first episode of the epic saga Doom Coalition – a sixteen-part epic spread over four box sets.

The Eleven
Along with kicking off the major story arc, The Eleven introduces us to its titular villain. Played by Mark Bonnar, the Eleven is an insane Time Lord villain who retains all of his previous personalities. Over the past few years, he’s emerged as one of Big Finish’s most exciting original villains, and Bonnar’s amazing performance is a key reason for that.
In some ways, Doom Coalition is the beginning of the Eleven’s story, although in other ways, it jumps right into the middle of it. When the saga begins, he’s safely locked up on Gallifrey, thanks to the Doctor’s previous incarnation. (How the Doctor caught him was only revealed this year in Seventh Doctor audio Dark Universe.) So when he escapes, it’s up to the Eighth Doctor to get him back…
