Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and others join the cast of Disney’s upcoming Star Wars holiday special!

Pinch me. Is this seriously true? A LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special on Disney+?!

The official Twitter Disney+ account confirmed this ridiculously amazing news with the cutest graphic I’ve ever seen. Seriously, LEGOs plus Star Wars plus the holidays is the combination we never knew we wanted, but November 17, we’ll be thankful we have it.

What’s more, Disney has announced that cast members from the franchise would be lending their voice to the special:

"Franchise stars reprising their roles in the “LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special” include Kelly Marie Tran (“Rose Tico”), Billy Dee Williams (“Lando Calrissian”), Anthony Daniels (“C-3PO”), as well as “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” vets Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), Tom Kane (Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Dee Bradley Baker (clone troopers)."

So much yes to Kelly Marie, Billy Dee Williams, and Anthony Daniels. I’m so here for this, folks. The holidays just got a whole lot more cheerful!

As for the plot, the special will follow Rey on an epic time-traveling adventure that will take her through various points in Star Wars history. She’ll interact with characters like Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and many more, all of them in LEGO form.

"The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special” reunites Rey, Finn, Poe, Chewie, Rose, and the droids for a joyous feast on Life Day. Rey sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force. At a mysterious Jedi Temple, she is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, coming into contact with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan, and other iconic heroes and villains from all nine Skywalker saga films. But will she make it back in time for the Life Day feast and learn the true meaning of holiday spirit?"

As of now, there’s no information on what other Star Wars vets may join the cast. I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say that we’d love for Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and others to be part of the holiday special.

Here’s hoping the Force is with this special when it drops on Disney+ on November 17.
