Wait, Kevin Costner (Pa Kent) might be in the Snyder Cut?

The Snyder Cut will give us a much longer, much more thorough version of Justice League, and it sounds like some familiar faces could pop up.

Warner Bros. is spending some $70 million on the Snyder Cut, a version of the superhero team-up movie Justice League that will preserve director Zach Snyder’s original, four-hour-long vision. Will it be worth it? That remains to be seen, but it will certainly be long.

And it may include some unexpected faces. For instance, check out what Kevin Costner told CinemaBlend when asked if might reprise his role as Jonathan Kent, father to Clark, in the movie:

"I don’t know. You don’t want to be kissin’ and tellin’ in life. You’re pokin’ me a little bit. I’m not… I can’t tell you."

This isn’t confirmation, but if he wasn’t in the movie, you’d figure a simple “no” would suffice. Dancing around the question like this…I think we may be seeing Jonathan Kent in a flashback or dream or something.

The last time we saw Costner’s take on the character was in 2013’s Man of Steel, where Clark Kent and wife Martha watched him get eaten by a tornado:

You know, there’s been a lot of talk about the Flash (Ezra Miller) getting up to some parallel dimension shenanigans in his next movie. Maybe the Flash could zip over to Dimension 125-B or whatever and we could see Pa Kent again that way.

Or Costner’s non-answer didn’t mean anything and he’s not in the movie…but I doubt it.

The Snyder Cut will debut on HBO Max next year.
