In an exclusive interview, the showrunners behind House of the Dragon and Veep gush about their new podcast on the world of Hollywood prop collecting.

Whether you’re a casual moviegoer, an obsessed fan, or just looking to fill a hole in your podcast schedule, Hollywood insiders David Mandel and Ryan Condal have a series for you: The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of, all about iconic memorabilia from the history of movies and TV.

If you’ve paying attention the post-Game of Thrones news cycle, you might recognize Ryan Condal as the guy who’s going to be managing HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones successor show, House of the Dragon. Meanwhile, David Mandel was the showrunner on HBO’s caustic political satire Veep, in addition to working on other comedies like Seinfield and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

And enthusiasm is what came through when we sat down with the pair for an exclusive interview about the podcast, collecting Hollywood memorabilia, and which piece they would steal from the other’s collection if left alone. Check out our conversation below!

Would you be psyched to own Han Solo’s blaster from Return of the Jedi, Conan’s sword from Conan the Barbarian? If you answered yes, this podcast is perfect for you. But even if you answered no, Condal and Mandel’s enthusiasm for their hobby is infectious, here or on their podcast. As a collector myself, I found it fascinating to talk with others who speak the same nerdy language.

Naturally, we also asked Condal about House of The Dragon, but that will be coming up soon. We thank both Condal and Mandel for the time!

The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of is available wherever you get your podcasts. If you head to the show’s Instagram or Twitter accounts, you can see images of all the props they discuss.
