Give side characters the spotlight
It seems we’ll be seeing more Star Wars legacy characters in season 2, like Ahsoka Tano, Bo-Katan Kryze, and possibly Boba Fett. It’ll be exciting to see some familiar faces, but hopefully, this doesn’t distract from characters already introduced and developed in the first season.
Characters like Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) were excellent additions to the cast; they were well-written characters with distinct personalities, motivations and backstories. Judging from the season 2 trailer, we’re going to see more of them and even Mythrol (Horatio Sanz), the bounty that Mando collected at the beginning of the series premiere, as they join him and the Child on their journey.
We’re hoping those scenes from the trailer aren’t just for a one-off episode, and these characters aren’t sidelined for already familiar fan-favorites. This next season would be a perfect opportunity to flesh out these characters even further and shine a spotlight on them. After all, that’s the only way they’ll become iconic Star Wars characters in their own right.
