Avatar: The Last Airbender is having a rollercoaster of a year, what with the live-action remake and the original show’s Netflix debut. The ride continues:

PewDiePie, aka Felix Kjellberg, is one of the most influential people in the world. As the most followed individual YouTuber in the world (with 107 million subscribers, second only to Indian record label T-Series), whatever he says carries a lot of weight. And if he uses that platform to praise a show as good as Avatar: The Last Airbender, all the better.

PewDiePie has been circling the show for a while, having watched the premiere episode of the animated fantasy series, “The Boy in the Iceberg,” with viewers during a livestream in August. At the time, he didn’t think much of it, but finally caved to pressure to watch the rest of the series and has changed his tune.

“I just finished Season 2!” he said in a new video. “I know everyone was crazy about me watching Avatar, and it was so annoying…It’s so childish in the first episodes, but it gets so good! It gets REALLY good! So you were right, and I am willing to admit I was wrong. Guys, I made a mistake. I pre-judged Avatar and it was actually great.”

Avatar: The Last Airbender has already been having a banner year, with the original show debuting on Netflix and gaining a lot of new fans. It’s even broken some Netflix viewership records, and it might break some more after getting an endorsement this big.

Netflix is also making a live-action adaptation of the show, although that suffered a setback when original series creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko ended their involvement with it, making fans wonder if it’s doomed before it gets off the ground. Hey, if anyone can sway a company one way or another, it’s PewDiePie…
