Netflix slips a few new fearsome beasties into a video celebrating the many monsters of The Witcher. Season 2 is coming.

The Witcher is many things: an epic fantasy drama, a story about a found family of misfits, a special effects extravaganza…but it’s also a creature feature. After all, main character Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) is a professional monster hunter, and he dealt with his share of creepy-crawlies over the course of the show’s successful first season.

Now, in honor of Halloween, Netflix has highlighted some of those beasts with a new video set to “Monster Mash” (of course). Better yet, it includes a couple of shots of new beasties:

Did you catch the newcomers? We’ve got this spider-legged-looking guy at 0:15 (yes, that is an eyeball towards the edge of the frame; not sure if it belongs to the creature or if he’s just playing with it)…

…and this trio of skeletons at 0:30:

Or is that one skeleton with three heads? The floor is open.

Like a lot of other shows, filming on The Witcher has been delayed thanks to COVID-19. But things are back in business, with Netflix sharing official new looks at Geralt and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and intrepid fans snapping behind-the-scenes pics.

If all goes well, we can expect the second season next year.
