The Mamacore

The Quarren’s plan to steal Mando’s armor involved the “mamacore,” a species we have not seen before. One of the Quarren lures Mando and the Child into the Mamacore’s pit.

We only got to see a glimpse of this new creature, but by the look of it, it’s huge! Like the Quarren, the Mamacore resembles a squid. What makes it menacing and deadly is its size; look how easily it swallowed the Child whole!

Given how Mando dealt with a Krayt dragon in the season 2 premiere, the beast shouldn’t have been an issue for the bounty hunter. However, he was at a disadvantage and had to be bailed out by other Mandalorians.

It’s still unclear how the Quarren and the Mamacore are connected, but this crew seemed to know a lot about this water creature. We’re curious to hear more about the Mamacore and its connection to the squid-like species.
