Disney teams up with Google for The Mandalorian AR experience

For the technically minded out there, Disney has made a Mandalorian AR Experience. For the hungry out there, you can now buy Baby Yoda cookies!

The Mandalorian is currently in the midst of its second season on Disney+, but if the new episodes aren’t enough, Disney and Google are also bringing fans an augmented reality experience to fill the space between. Simply called The Mandalorian AR Experience, this game puts you in the shoes of a bounty hunter tracking Din Djarin and Baby Yoda across the galaxy, interacting with characters from the series and exploring the world of the show.

And then you find them, they kill you…no, not really, but that does kind of seem like what would happen if you were actually tracking this pair.

The Mandalorian AR Experience was built with ARCore, Google’s platform specifically made for making these sorts of games. Viewed through your phone, scenes will blend seamlessly with the real world, so when Mando shoots you, it’ll be right in your own kitchen.

Sorry, apparently I can’t let go of this idea that Mando is going to do something horrible to me once I find him. Can’t this be a game about teaming up with him instead?

Anyway, The Mandalorian AR Experience is available for 5G-enabled Android devices, with Google saying that it could come to other Android devices soon. Google will also roll out new content for the app every Monday, keeping things fresh. You can check our the app at the Google Play Store.

So that’s a pretty high-tech bit of Mando merch. If you’re looking for something simpler, why not buy a sleeve of those blue cookies that Baby Yoda was scarfing down (and later threw up) in the latest episode, “The Siege”?

Yep, William Sonoma is officially selling Nevarro Nummies™ Macarons, “ethereal French-style almond macarons” with “authentic galactic flavor,” and they can be yours for only…$49.95?

Okay, that is a lot for a blue biscuit that Baby Yoda couldn’t even keep down, but the stomach wants what it wants.
