The final episodes of Vikings are nigh! New images tease death, betrayal and new lands to be discovered and plundered. Skoal!

History’s epic historical fiction series Vikings will soon come to a close. But while the second half of season 6 might be debuting on a new home, Amazon Prime, the show itself will be as bloody and filled with betrayal as usual, and we have the images to prove it. IGN debuted a slew of new images, including more than a few that made us put down our drinking horns.

First up, we have Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) doing what he does best: plotting.

Of course, that’s not notable on its own, but we do see King Harald (Peter Franzen) seated at the table. Has Harald switched sides after his defeat at Ivar’s hands? It wouldn’t be surprising.

Next, we see Prince Igor (Oran Glynn O’Donovan) being prodded to make a decision as Ivar and Oleg (Danila Kozlovsky) look on. Although we can’t see the face of the person in chains, the oversized ear lobes clearly identify this person as King Olaf (Steven Berkoff).

We’re guessing Olaf isn’t long for this world. Save a drink for us in Valhalla.

Moving on, we see Ivar isn’t the only one plotting. Erik the Red (Eric Johnson) is up to something with Ingrid (Lucy Martin), Bjorn’s second wife:

One of Ivar’s plots appears to have gone seriously awry:

Ivar’s enemies are many — even his allies don’t seem to like him — so anyone could have laid him out like this.

Elsewhere, Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith), Torvi (Georgia Hirst), Kjetill Flatnose (Adam Copeland) and Othere (Ray Stevenson) land on a beach. The question is where?

Given Ubbe’s desire to sail west of Iceland, there are only a few places that it could be.

Finally, we see Ivar and Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) riding side by side amidst the Rus Viking forces, assembled on a beach. Where might the two brothers be headed? And is this before or after Ivar is beaten silly?

The entire second half of Vikings season 6 debuts exclusively on Amazon Prime on December 30. After that, the episodes will be released one per week on History, like normal.
