2020 was the first year in a long time without a single Marvel movie, but the company is making up for lost time in a big way in 2021.

2020 has been difficult for a lot of reasons, most of which I’m sure I don’t have to tell you. For Marvel fans, it’s been a rare dry spell: the first year in a decade that hasn’t seen the premiere of an MCU film. However, 2021 will usher in a wave of new Marvel content!

Disney officially unveiled its full schedule of Marvel movies and shows for 2021 this week, and the company is definitely bringing it. In the new year, Marvel will be rolling out six series on Disney+ and three movies, which will premiere in theaters. Check out the full list below:

  • WandaVision: January 2021 on Disney+
  • Falcon and Winter Soldier: March 2021 on Disney+
  • Black Widow: In theaters on May 7, 2021
  • Loki: May 2021 on Disney+
  • Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: In theaters on July 9, 2021
  • What If…? Summer 2021 on Disney+
  • Eternals: In theaters on November 5, 2021
  • Ms. Marvel: Late 2021 on Disney+
  • Hawkeye: Late 2021 on Disney+

We’re starting off strong in the new year with the premiere of WandaVision on Disney+ in January. I’ve really been looking forward to seeing the show since it was announced last year. Wanda Maximoff has amazing powers, but they’ve gone largely unexplored in the Marvel films she’s appeared in. And the format looks daring and different: the show will find Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) living in an idyllic suburban setting inspired by classic American sitcoms. Clearly something strange is going on here.

Loki has always been one of my favorite characters, so I’m so excited to see Tom Hiddleston reprise his role as the trickster god in his own show. And Black Widow, which will give viewers a glimpse into Natasha Romanoff’s past, has been delayed often, so it’ll be great to finally see what it has to offer.

If anything, the problem next year might be that there’ll be too much Marvel content, if such a thing is possible.
