The Last Kingdom: Buy a replica of Uhtred’s sword Serpent-Breath

The market for replicas of weapons from popular TV shows is booming. One of the latest is a nifty replica of Serpent-Breath, Uhtred’s sword from The Last Kingdom.
Christmas is over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take an interest in merch based on your favorite TV shows. For a potential post-holiday gift, we direct you to Jalic Blades, which makes replicas of weapons from fantasy series like Game of Thrones, The Wheel of Time, The Witcher and more.
It also works with some less fantastical series like The Last Kingdom, Netflix’s epic historical drama based on The Saxon Stories novels by Bernard Cornwell. In particular, it has a new item coming round the corner: a replica of Serpent-Breath, the sword that Uhtred son of Uhtred (played by Alexander Dreymon on the show) uses to slice and dice his way through several decades of British history.

As you can see, the replica includes the small amber pendent Uhtred’s father gave him as a baby set into the pommel, just like on the series. It’s name came courtesy of Brida (Emily Cox), who thought the patterns on the blade looked like a serpent’s breath. Sometimes destiny just calls out to you.
The Serpent-Breath replicas are due to start coming out on February 5. And if you can’t wait that long, the prop replica market is booming these days, with no shortages of places to shop. Might we recommend Valyrian Steel, which specializes in weapons inspired by A Song of Ice and Fire.
