Outlander cast goes behind the scenes of season 6

It’s happening later than usual, but the cast of Outlander is once again gearing up to shoot a new season of the show, and they have the video to prove it.

The cast and crew of Outlander are finally back on set prepping for the upcoming sixth season, which means we can start counting down the days until the current Droughtlander is over. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed things — it’s difficult to make those famous Jamie-and-Claire love scenes when everyone has to stand six feet apart — but they’ve found a way.

To celebrate, cast members Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton all participated in a behind-the-scenes video from the costume and wardrobe department. Check out some of what the gang will be wearing in the upcoming season:

Those are hundreds, if not thousands of costumes the cast will be wearing in the coming season, including an entire section dedicated to the new settlers that will call Fraser’s Ridge their home. And then, of course, there’s each major character’s wardrobe to look forward to as well.

Did anyone else search high and dry for any sign of kilts?

This video is a gift from the cast to the fans, who understand that every Droughtlander is difficult to get through. But thanks to this special sneak peek, the Droughtlander just got a little less dry. And while we wait for it to end, I suggest everyone do what I’ve been doing: binge the series (again)! One can never really tire of this beautiful story, and since we have some time before the next season, there’s no better time than the present to rewatch it all!
