Asteria becomes Diana’s mentor

The shocking mid-credits scene of Wonder Woman 1984 brought back Lynda Carter for a small cameo as the ancient Amazon warrior Asteria, who had been teased throughout the movie. Carter played the titular Amazon princess in the ‘70s Wonder Woman TV show. While we expected Asteria to pop up at some point given how often they talked about it, we never expected her to be played by Lynda Carter.

But what does this reveal mean for the next movie? Now that we know Asteria is alive and apparently saving people like Diana, it would be fun to put them together in the next film. Maybe Asteria could act as a mentor figure for Diana. Think about it: the previous Wonder Woman training the current one? Hire us already, Warner Bros!

Jokes aside, pairing these two together could give us some memorable and wonderful scenes. Asteria has presumably been living among men and away from Themyscira for centuries; surely she and Diana can bond over this.

We see a lot of potential with the introduction of this character, and hopefully Jenkins utilizes her to the fullest.

dark. Next. Let’s dreamcast the Teen Titans before they appear in the DCEU
