We’ve known for a while that MCU head Kevin Feige was making a Star Wars movie. Now, it looks like the team is coming together.
In May, Disney+ is getting a Marvel TV series all about Loki, with Tom Hiddleston returning to the role of beloved trickster god. We’re on the edge of our seats wondering what mischief he gets up to after disappearing with the Space Stone during a stray moment in Avengers: Endgame. Based on the trailer, it’s going to be a wild ride:
Loki was created by Rick and Morty writer Michael Waldron, who also wrote Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Clearly, Disney values his talents, because according to Deadline, they have yet another job for him: writing a Star Wars movie for MCU head honcho Kevin Feige.
We’ve known for a while that Feige would be developing a Star Wars movie, although we don’t know what it will entail yet — it wasn’t mentioned at all in Disney’s enormous Investor’s Conference last month. But hopefully this is the first of many updates to come.
And clearly, Waldron has some favor with the high-ups at Disney. Under the new deal he signed, he’s also expected to come back for the second season of Loki (also, apparently there will be a second season of Loki). It’s a good, steady gig if you can get it.
