Pilou Asbæk (Euron) returns to HBO, Richard Madden teams with Brian Cox for sci-fi podcast, and the Mountain…fights Mike Tyson?

It’s time to check in with the cast of Game of Thrones! What are these crazy kids doing since the show ended?

Let’s start with Richard Madden (Robb Stark), who is currently on a sci-fi podcast called From Home, alongside actors like Brian Cox, David Dastmalchian, Erin Moriarty and Elisabeth Shue. From Now tells the story of the USS Hope, a lost spaceship that returns to Earth after vanishing 35 years prior. Madden voices the lone survivor, who looks exactly the same as when he left. He reunites with his (now much older) twin brother, voiced by Cox, but what starts as a joyful reunion leads to dark revelations that could threaten the future of humanity.

Sounds heady, and you can get it wherever you get your podcasts. It’s already a few episodes into a run due to end on January 25.

Next up, who wants to see Mike Tyson fight Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, aka the Mountain from Game of Thrones? Because we get a glimpse of that in the trailer for Desert Strike, below:

This looks gloriously trashy. I kind of want to see it immediately. Also, I love that they literally credited Björnsson as “the Mountain from Game of Thrones.” Desert Strike is coming to VOD early this year.

Finally, Pilou Asbæk, the actor beyond the psychotic Euron Greyjoy, is coming back to HBO. According to Page Six, he plays a prosecutor in The Investigation, about the brutal 2017 murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall by inventor Peter Madsen, who did it aboard his personal submarine. (Later, he tried to escape prison with a bomb threat, but was recaptured carrying fake weapons.)

It is a very strange story. The Investigation has already aired in Denmark and will premiere on HBO on February 1.

What stood out to you from this roundup and why was it Mike Tyson fighting the Mountain?

Next. Should we be worried by George R.R. Martin silence on House of the Dragon?. dark
