The Umbrella Academy: Meet the members of the Sparrow Academy

After the second 2 finale of The Umbrella Academy, fans have wondered about the members of Sparrow Academy. Who are they? Finally, we have some answers!

If you’re a fan of The Umbrella Academy, then you’ll recall that the second season ended on a major cliffhanger. After preventing another apocalypse in the past, the Hargreeves returned to their own time to find it much changed: their father, Sir Reginald Hargreeves, was still alive, and was their lost sibling Ben! What’s more, he was joined by five other children and a floating green cube, members of something called the Sparrow Academy.

In this timeline, the Umbrella Academy never existed. Our favorite characters meddled with the past and now they must face the consequences.

Who are the members of Sparrow Academy?

The members of the Umbrella Academy have some pretty incredible powers. For example, Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) can make people do what she wants with just a word, Vanya (Elliot Page) can convert sound waves into energy, Five (Aidan Gallagher) can teleport, and Klaus (Robert Sheehan) can speak to the dead.

Sir Reginald Hargreeves sought out these heroes as infants, but they were only seven of 43 babies born on the same day to women who hadn’t been pregnant moments before. The members of the Sparrow Academy are likely other people who were born in the same way. Now, as reported by Deadline, we know who’s playing them, as well as something about their characters.

Justin Cornwell as Marcus (Sparrow #1)

Justin H. Min as BEN (Sparrow #2)

This version of Ben is not the one we grew to know and love over the last two seasons. In this new timeline, Ben is competitive and calculating. It sounds like he’s looking to supplant Marcus as the leader.

Britne Oldford as Fei (Sparrow #3)

Fei is described as a smart, loyal loner. Although she seems aloof towards others, she secretly craves affection. Best not to cross her, though.

Jake Epstein as Alphonso (Sparrow #4)

Alphonso is a battle-scarred warrior with a biting sense of humor. When he’s not insulting people for trying to step to him, he enjoys pizza and beer.

Genesis Rodriguez as Sloane (Sparrow #5)

Although Sloane loves her family, she dreams of leaving Sparrow Academy to see the world. But her dedication to the Sparrow Academy keeps her put…for now.

Cazzie David as Jayme (Sparrow #6)

Another loner, Jayme doesn’t say much, but has “a fear-inducing snarl” you’ll want to be well away from. Alphonso is her only friend.

Existential Dread Inducing Psykronium Cube as Christopher (Sparrow #7)

Yes, you read that correctly. Christopher is a telekinetic cube of unknown origin and the voice of reason for the group.

This family may even be stranger than the one we already know. They don’t have a cube for a confidant…

Anyway, the third season of The Umbrella Academy will hopefully be out to Netflix before too long. Maybe even before the end of the year?
