Thor: Love and Thunder is officially shooting. Check out pics of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt and more on the set of the new Marvel movie!

Like everything else, production on Thor: Love and Thunder, the next Thor movie from Taika Waititi, was delayed by the coronavirus, but as recent pictures from the set show, things are officially back in full swing.

And really, this isn’t just the next Thor movie; it’s also kinda-sorta the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. You’ll remember that, at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) set out for the stars with the Guardians, which promises to provide lots of laughs as he and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) jockey for the top spot on the team.

And now, we can see the both of them in costume, ready to film:

Or at least Pratt is in costume as Star-Lord. I think Hemsworth is in costume, unless he goes around wearing bright red sleeveless jackets, which he might, I dunno. He’s also holding Stormbreaker, his hammer.

At the end of Endgame, Thor left Asgard in the hands of Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), so maybe he’s taking this time to explore some new sides of himself. He’s lost the gut he had in Endgame, when he was depressed after failing to stop Thanos from snapping away half of civilization. And his longer hair, which he lost for part of Thor: Ragnarok, looks back to stay.

We also see other Guardians characters walking around, including Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Karen Gillan as Nebula:

There’s a lot we’re not seeing here, most notably Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who returns to become the new God of Thunder while Thor is out finding himself.

Thor: Love and Thunder is due out on February 11, 2022.
