The Umbrella Academy star shares a look at the Sparrow Academy

The third season of The Umbrella Academy presents a whole new challenge for our favorite dysfunctional superhero family: The Sparrow Academy.

The second season of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy may have ended the cycle of the Hargreeves family bringing about the apocalypse, but the finale presented a new problem to contend with. When the members of the Umbrella Academy got back to their own time, they found it much altered. In this new timeline, Sir Reginald Hargreeves raised an entirely different group of superheroes: the Sparrow Academy.

The final moments of season 2 give fans a glimpse of the Sparrow Academy’s silhouettes, with one notable exception: Ben, who grew up with the rest of the Umbrella Academy and spent the first two seasons trailing Klaus as a ghost, is the head honcho of the new group.

Netflix revealed the identities and talent behind the Sparrow Academy members a few weeks ago, presenting a team that looks just as interesting as the one we know. In addition to Ben, there are six new Hargreeves out there: Marcus (Justin Cornwell), Fei (Britne Oldford), Alphonso (Jake Epstein), Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez), Jayme (Cazzie David) and a telekinetic cube named Christopher. (Yes, you read that right. No, it hasn’t been announced who — if anyone — will be voicing the cube.)

Justin H Min, who has played Ben since the show began, shared an image to Twitter that sees the whole gang (minus the cube) in their Sparrow uniforms:

Christopher the cube is missing from Min’s shot, but hey, the poor cube probably can’t fit into one of those swanky Sparrow jackets the rest of the team is sporting.

There’s no word on when fans might see The Umbrella Academy‘s third season, but Min’s image is certainly hyping things up. Because we have to assume the Sparrow Academy and the Umbrella Academy are going to be at odds, right?

Things are going to get very interesting from here on out.
