Iconic Game of Thrones locations we want to see in House of the Dragon
By John Fallon
White Harbor
The city of White Harbor pledges fealty to Winterfell, and may be the northernmost place we visit in House of the Dragon. Ruled over by House Manderly, the harbor city is the largest settlement in the North, and the region’s primary trading destination. The people are excellent fishers and adept silver smiths. Because there’s so much trade coming in and out, the town has a more immediately connection to King’s Landing than Winterfell.
During the Dance of the Dragons, Prince Jacaerys Velayron travels to White Harbor and Winterfell to try and persuade them to send troops south to support Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen. The Lord Manderly at the time eventually sends his sons to fight.
Hopefully the show takes the opportunity to visit White Harbor, and could even take a trip back to Winterfell as well. The harbor city would be a fresh and fascinating location in the North, as fans missed out on an onscreen version of Davos Seaworth’s visit to the Merman’s Court in the original show.
There are other places we could see in the prequel, like Rook’s Rest and Duskendale, but these are some of the ones we’re most excited about. What about you?
