Are all episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier released at once?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is coming to Disney+ on March 19, 2021, joining other Disney+ shows like The Mandalorian and WandaVision that follow a weekly release schedule rather than releasing all episodes at once. Presumably, each episode of Falcon will also come out at 3:00 a.m. EST on Fridays.

Though Netflix gained popularity by releasing whole seasons of shows at the same time, Disney+ has taken a different approach and it seems to be working for them. Both The Mandalorian and WandaVision got terrific word of mouth as episodes came out week after week, with lots of chatter on social media that built as the seasons continued. There’s no reason for the studio to drop a whole season at once and miss out on those opportunities for growth.

An adjustment could improve The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ release

Disney is a master of hype and is usually really good at making its new releases into big events. It’s surprising, then, that the studio continues to release new episodes of its shows in the dead of night. Disney+ should consider moving the release of each episode to a more user-friendly time so that people who want to be there for the episode drop can join in the fun on social media. As it stands now, when new episodes of The Mandalorian or WandaVision drop, only the die-hard fans are awake at 3:00 a.m. EST on Friday mornings to watch.

This delivery system works for now, especially with so many people at home under COVID-19 lockdowns, but in the future it would be nice to transition to a release at 9:00 p.m. or so on Fridays, so people can enjoy watching it together, even if they’re not in the same room.
