Pedro Pascal’s little sister Lux, who is also an actor, has come out as a trans woman on the cover of Chilean magazine Revista Ya.

Game of Thrones veteran Pedro Pascal is blowing up lately. Not only does he play the title character in The Mandalorian, which is one of the buzziest shows around right now, but he played the villain in the recent hit Wonder Woman 1984 and just signed on to play one of the leads in HBO’s The Last of Us. Guy is unstoppable.

And it may run in the family. Pascal’s little sister Lux Pascal just came out as a trans woman, complete with a cover shoot on for the Chilean magazine Revista Ya (Pedro Pascal was born in Chile). Naturally, Pedro was happy to support his 28-year-old sister:

“Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,” Pascal wrote. In English, that means “My sister, my heart, our Lux.”

Like her big brother, Lux is an actor, in addition to being a transgender rights activist. In La Rivista, she talked about how she had originally told her family that she was non-binary, but realized that “Moving through the world as a woman is much more simple for me. But I still advocate for non-binary identities to have a space in society.”

"We need trans activists who are good, smart, informed and who can be strong voices against transphobia, homophobia and racism. I have had a certain form of privilege because I have been able to make my transition hidden and with support. LGBTQ+ equality movement has been led by the most marginalized of voices, those who at the end of the day, had nothing to lose because they had already been deprived everything. I have been very fortunate."

Lux’s family, including Pedro, provided a lot of that support. In fact, Lux cites Pedro as playing an “important” role in helping her come to her identity. “Perfect,” she remembered him saying upon telling him she was happy to be trans. “This is incredible.”

Lux also got congratulatory messages from Pedro’s Wonder Woman 1984 and Mandalorian costars Gal Gadot and Amy Sedaris.

Although she has a fair number of screen acting credits under her belt already, Lux is currently studying acting at Julliard. Something tells me big brother might have a job for her on one of the 800 shows he’s booked in the future.
