What do Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones) and Hailee Steinfeld have in common? Apart from starring in the Apple+ series Dickinson together, they are now both officially a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Jones played the lead in Marvel’s Iron Fist for two seasons before it was canceled by Netflix, but he still knows a thing or two about the MCU, and he was happy to share with his Dickinson costar. Steinfeld is currently filming the Disney+ series Hawkeye, where she plays Kate Bishop, the protégé of Hawkeye himself. We’ve even got an image of Steinfeld on set courtesy of Instagram account onset.unseen, and she looks fierce:

What advice did Finn Jones give Hailee Steinfeld about joining the MCU?

The second season of Dickinson, where Steinfeld plays the poet Emily Dickinson, is airing on Apple+. Jones joined the cast this season as Samuel Bowles, a renowned newspaper editor. Speaking with Digital Spy, Jones revealed what MCU-related wisdom he imparted to Steinfeld on set:

"While we were working on the show, she was going through the casting process. She asked me, ‘What was it like working with Marvel?’ And all these kind of questions. I was just like, ‘Do it, definitely. Be a part of the Marvel world. It’s such a wonderful thing to say that you’ve been a part of. Marvel takes care of their actors so well. It’s a universe that is so well-loved by so many people.’ Just the experience as an actor to play a superhero is such a wonderfully challenging and rewarding experience. I was just like, ‘Hailee, do it. Do it, and you won’t regret it.’ And now she’s doing it."

Jones had nothing but wonderful things to say about his co-star. “It’s wonderful to see that she’s now in that world,” he said. “I think she’s going to be fantastic. I can’t wait to see her as Hawkeye. I think it’s wonderful casting, and I hope she goes on to have her own series and her own movie franchise because she deserves it. She’s such an amazing performer – and a great contribution to the Marvel Universe.”

As a huge fan of Steinfeld, I have to agree. Her talents know no bounds.

We don’t have a premiere date for Hawkeye yet, but if everything goes according to plan, it’s set to air on Disney+ sometime this year.
