WandaVision is the first-ever live-action TV show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s been a big hit. We’re all eager to see what happens with the wacky sideways sitcom reality Wanda has created in Westview. Will Wanda face a reckoning for her actions? What will happen with Darcy, who was absorbed in the Hex when Wanda expanded it at the end of the last episode?

Disney+ has been kind enough to drop a preview on us. Things are changing in Westview:

So first up, the sitcom aesthetic has moved from Malcolm in the Middle to Modern Family, further advancing through time. But things are volatile, switching time periods on their own. The kids’ game console controllers switch from Wii to Gamecube controllers, jumping back in time (and kudos to Disney for getting period-accurate video game consoles; they really do pay attention to the details on this show). Wanda is so exhausted by the whole ordeal that she’s trying to spend the whole day in bed, but given what she’s done, she’s likely only going to attract more attention from the outside world. How long can she keep this up?

What will Monica Rambeau, Jimmy Woo, and Darcy Lewis do about Wanda?

“I’m looking forward to just more wonderful, awesome storytelling,” Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) told Collider about the final episodes. “I think the show and the creatives have done such a wonderful job giving us a show that’s very grounded and intimate and still has those MCU elements. And I think there’s even more of the big MCU-ness to come. And I’m excited for more of that.”

While Monica and Jimmy managed to avoid getting absorbed into the Hex, Darcy wasn’t so lucky, but Parris doesn’t sound too worried about her. “That trio, the Jimmy, Monica, Darcy trio, I think they’ll find a way to figure some things out. I don’t think they’ll take it so easy,” she told CinemaBlend.

There are just two episodes to go before this wild ride wraps up. The show has set a high bar for itself to clear and I hope it succeeds.
