1. Luke Roberts

Roberts would be the first choice for this role, as he played the famed Westerosi swordsman when Bran used his powers to watch the fight at the Tower of Joy in Game of Thrones season 6. Arthur Dayne is supposed be one of the best swordfighters alive, and Roberts certainly cut an intimidating figure as he duel-wielded those blades. He could get to show off even more of what he could do in the prequel.

2. Alexander Dreymon

Fans of The Last Kingdom would be delighted to see the show’s lead actor turn up in another medieval drama. Dreymon is brilliant as Uthred son of Uhtred on the Netflix show, and would bring that same intensity and battle prowess to the Game of Thrones universe.

3. David Wenham

I often find that the best casting choices for fantasy and medieval projects come when actors have previous experience with similar content. As Faramir in The Lord of The Rings trilogy, Wenham portrays a tortured night perfectly, and broke hearts all across the world. If a prequel series wanted to expand on the characters in Robert’s Rebellion, it would be smart to cast a gifted veteran like Wenham. He could add depth to the character that goes beyond just being the greatest swordsman in the country.

Okay, that’s everyone on Team Targaryen. Let’s switch to the Baratheon side of things, starting with the man who gives the Rebellion its name:
