Sophie Turner gets her Fortnite on in a new ad, and a game of Call of Duty: War Zone sets off some serious Game of Thrones flashbacks: “Hold the door!”

The topic of today’s post is when Game of Thrones crosses over with video games. First up, we have Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), who’s embodying the spirit of Game of Thrones and she sits down for an extended Fortnite session:

“I just want revenge,” Turner declares after being picked off by a meddlesome banana one too many times. “Is that too much to ask?” That’s a real Cersei Lannister mindset right there.

Honestly, I have no idea if Turner was actually playing the game or just using her Emmy-nominated acting skills to make it seem like she was. That’s the kind of ambiguity you get when companies pay people with lots of Instagram followers to promote their product. Is it a commercial? Is it real? Both, neither? Whatever, you can download Fortnite on pretty much everything everywhere.

In other bits, a recent bout of Call of Duty: Warzone gave one player serious Game of Thrones flashbacks. It involved one member of the squad single-handedly defending a door against a horde of enemies. He was holding the door? You see where this is going? If you don’t, the magic of editing will make it clear:

"When the squad needs you to hold the door, you hold the door from CODWarzone"

That brave little soldier.
