Behind the scenes of Stranger Things 4: The Upside Down is at it again
By Dan Selcke
The Upside Down is invading our world again in new behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of Stranger Things season 4.
The fourth season of Stranger Things was set back a bit thanks to the pandemic, but the cameras are rolling once again, and we’re getting some fascinating behind-the-scenes looks at the challenges that await our small town heroes when the show finally returns to Netflix.
Be warned: these pictures contain SPOILERS. This is your last chance to turn back.
Still here? Okay! These images come from the @StrangerNews11 Twitter account, which is definitely living up to its name. They show the Upside Down — the nightmare dimension from whence come horrible monsters like the Demogorgon and the Mind Flayer — creeping into our world, as it’s been doing pretty consistently since the first season. In this case, it’s set up shop in a trailer park:
Oh, that’s bad. You’re definitely gonna wanna move. Also, note all the ’80s cars on set. The Stranger Things producers are nothing if not mindful of period detail.
Looks like this place is called Forest Hill Trailer Park. It’s not surprising to see the Upside Down wrecking havoc like this — without it encroaching on our reality, there wouldn’t be much need for a season 4. Will this be the season when Eleven, Mike, Joyce, Sheriff Hopper and the rest of the crew finally block out the Upside Down for good?
We’ll find out when the new episodes drop. We don’t know when that might be, but we’re crossing our fingers for later this year.
